Time to set sail!

Day 3 (aka Jan 14th) - time to board the ship and the second phase of our birthday celebrations started! We boarded the boat on Jan 14th and got ready to start the 7 day voyage that had us in a different port every day. If we had it to do over, I think we would have spaced out our trip a bit...it was exhausting to stop in a new port every day and we didn't want to stay on the boat b/c we didn't want to miss anything so we decided that next time a day in between ports would be nice. We found the Jewel to be one of Royal's older and smaller ships which was a far cry from the boat that we were originally supposed to sail on. The first night we experienced issues with both our room, and our dinner service but a trip to guest services solved that issue immediately and we were pleasantly surprised to find all of our concerns addressed by the following day.

Tips - think about down time when booking a trip with back-to-back ports, and don't be afraid to express your concerns immediately with the staff on board your ship - it is not worth being unhappy for 7 days when you've paid a lot of money to enjoy your vacation!
